‘Literary and Debating Association’ is a qualitative
addition to improve the language, literary, employability and life skills of
the students. Every year, The Department of English & the “Literary and
Debating Association” organized ‘LADA–IntraFest. Every week, on Wednesday evening from 5.00 pm to 6.30 pm
communication development programme was conducted to improve the Communication
skill and allay stage fear. Group discussion were also
conducted. In this connection, many activities like Poem writing, Quiz, Ad zap,
Cross word, spell bee, word tale, shipwreck, jam, dumb c, short story writing,
poster making, slogan writing, group discussion, debate, newsletter writing,
article writing, and role play are conducted in the competitions. The best
works of the participants were awarded, compiled and published in the college
magazine.
A contest
to promote newspaper reading among the students to improve communication skill
and vocabulary was conducted under the name “Seek & Score”. Every year
during the month of Feb. Department of
English under ‘Literary and
Debating Association’ organized LADA Fest, an inter-collegiate literary and
cultural extravaganza. Many eminent personalities spoke on that day and prizes
were distribution to the students who have won in the competition.
